Anterra adds Randolph Seidler to team of venture partners

Anterra Capital has brought in more animal health industry expertise with the addition of Randolph Seidler as a venture partner.
Dr Seidler is the former global head of R&D and business development for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health. He was at Boehringer for over 21 years and held roles that encompassed different aspects of the firm’s animal health R&D. Dr Seidler is also an independent board director at AAVACC and Bactana Animal Health.
“Joining Anterra with their unique concept of incubating ground-breaking animal health companies allows me to do what I am most passionate about: bringing cutting-edge innovation to the veterinary community,” said Randolph Seidler.
Anterra is a fund focused on investment opportunities throughout the agriculture sector. Its most recent deals in the animal health space were for InVetx and Ascus Biosciences (recently renamed Native Microbials).Anterra’s other venture partners include Michelle Haven and Jurgen Horn, who both joined in 2018. Dr Haven was with Zoetis for nearly 20 years, while Dr Horn spent around 13 years at Novartis Animal Health. Recently, Dr Horn became chief executive of InVetx.
Another Anterra portfolio company is Animol, which is aiming to revolutionize the development of small molecule drugs for animals.
